Present Continuous Tense
When we state what Rose and Bryan are doing in progress or at the
moment of speaking, we use Present Continuous Tense.
We use it to express actions or things that happening now or in the
near future.
Depending on the person, Present continuous Tense is formed by
adding a present “to be” and verb-ing after the subject.
e.g:
- “am” for first person singular (I)
Example: I am watching TV now.
- “is” for third person singular (she/ he/ it)
- Example: He is studying now.
- “are” for second person singular/ plural (you/ they/ we)
- Example : You are cooking now. They are playing
games now. We are reading book now.
The pattern of Present continuous tense
Present Continuous Tense is formed by three ways:
1. Positive Form
 Subject + be (am/ is/ are) + Verb-ing + Object
e.g.: I am watching TV now
She is crying now.
You are doing homework now
2. Negative Form
 Subject + be (am/ is/ are) + not + Verb-ing + Object
e.g.: I am not watching TV now
She is not crying now.
You are not doing homework now
3. Interrogative Form
 be (am/ is/ are) + Subject + Verb-ing + Object +?
e.g.: Am I watching TV now?
Is she crying now?
Are you crying now?
