INTRODUCTION
World Health Day is a
global health awareness
day celebrated every year
on 7 April, under
the sponsorship of the 
World Health Organization
 (WHO), as well as other
related organizations.

HISTORY
• When diplomats met to form the
United Nations in 1945, one of the
things they discussed was setting up a
global health organization. 
• In 1948, the WHO held the First 
World Health Assembly. The
Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April
of each year, with effect from 1950,
as the World Health Day.
• The WHO organizes international,
regional and local events on the Day
related to a particular theme.

state of complete
physical,mental and social well
being and not merely absence of

HOW WE CAN SAVE OUR PLANET?

• We can save the energy by turning
off the lights ,when we leave our
room.
• We can also turn off the heating , and
all the applicants that are not in use.
• We should use paper on both
sides ,or least throw them away to
recycling bins.
• Ensure low income households and
health care facilities have access to
clean, affordable energy.
