Remediation

Classic Disintermediation
ANALYSIS
• Classic Disintermediation – Implementing this strategy would mean removal of all middlemen from the equation.
Doing so would result in the company losing out on the current clientele established through the distributor system and
impair the existing long-standing positive relations they have with its primary distributors.
• Remediation – Company continues to trade with existing group of suppliers and distributors only, they integrate them
into the new system and work on the development of the system. This would help them establish the system fast and
efficiently as the current group is familiar with the company and would be accepting of the new ways.
• Networking – Work with new and old group of suppliers and distributors. Integrating both new and old people into the
system may prove to be complex due to the problems that may occur while introducing both to the new system while
handling the complications of building new relationships. They may face increased resistance.
• Remediation + Networking – Continue to work with existing group of suppliers and distributors while building the
system, introduce them into the system with easy acceptance of the new way of working. Once a complete system has
been established, work to build new relations and integrate them into an already established system. This will help
eliminate the complexity and help grow the data and information availability in the system.
DECISION
REMEDIATION + NETWORKIN G

• The company can continue to apply the current strategy of remediation

by working with the existing suppliers and distributors, this will help in
developing and establishing the system faster and with better feedback.
This would show the loyalty of the company towards their existing base
of suppliers and distributors. Due to its long-term positive relations, the
company shall face less resistance in introducing a new system while
simplifying data sharing for quick and efficient decision making. Once
the system is established, they can work to build new relations and
introduce them into the system as well, for increased data and
information availability. Doing this helps in decreasing complexities of
introducing new relations into a developing system while managing the
existing relations as well. There will be increased satisfaction and the
company shall also benefit by reduced costs and superior performance in
the long term.
