COORDINATION &

MOVEMENT
• Central canal holds fluid called cerebrospinal. Allows nerve impulses to have the
right environment.
• Grey matter holds cell bodies of neurons and white matter holds nerve fibers.
• Central canal of brain is in white matter (on the inside)
• Central canal of spinal cord is in gray matter since the white matter is its outside
layer.
• The spinal nerve (sensory and motor neurons included) divides into the dorsal and
central roots before joining in the spinal cord.
• Cranial Reflexes include salivation, blinking and pupil reflex.
• Spinal reflex include bodily reflexes like muscle contractions.
