INTRODUCTION:
• Population explosion, rapid urbanization, industrial and technological
expansion, energy utilisation and waste generation from domestic and
industrial sources have rendered many waters unwholesome and hazardous
to man and other living sources.
• Many methods have been adopted in the treatment of industrial waste water.
• Among such methods are ion-exchange, electro-floatation, membrane
separation, reverse osmosis etc.,
• However due to high cost running of this methods, interest into the
production of cheaper treatment methods that involves the use of adsorption
phenomena are now gaining the attention.
• In this project we aims to treat the waste water by using the banana bunch
stem as the activated carbon.
Objectives:

• To obtain activated carbon from the banana bunch stem for the treatment of waste
water.
• To compare the results with samples & To find the maximum Efficiency.
