• Brgy. San Rafael  has 31,922 people where it’s

geographical profile makes it a great target for
study; located at the Sierra Madre Mountain
Range.

• Before calamity strikes in the area which is

covered by the proposed system our system will
enforce an alarm that will give notification to the
users who are registered thus giving them time to
get ready and evacuate as soon as possible.

• As a response, implementing different mediums of

disseminating information to warn the public
about weather conditions plays a critical and
useful life-saving function.
 PURPOSE OF THE SYSTEM

• The primary purpose of this thesis is to evaluate

the level of preparedness of the Barangay Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management Committee
(BDRRMC) of Barangay San Rafael.
 PURPOSE OF THE SYSTEM

•  It has a big role to warn the public about weather

updates through web or app base with real-time
data information so residents of the Barangay can
prepare for any impending natural catastrophes
and avoid losing lives.
 PURPOSE OF THE SYSTEM

• Disseminating information to the community will

be fast and easy to track along with database
system, so the Barangay officials can generate a
report.
 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

• This system is a local website with an real time

transmission SMS gateway capable of receiving and
processing information to the people of Barangay.

• The system provides authority for the Admin or

Barangay Official to control all information that
website and application of user (citizen) receive.

• It has user friendly interface that contains

three forms for inputting information; two
options for reporting (Warning & Donation)
third, for registering citizens of Barangay.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

1. To create a local website with an SMS

gateway using GSM Arduino capable of
receiving and processing information from
the people of Barangay;

disseminating important news and other
relevant information to the community from
barangay officials;

record all calamities & donations from
the community in order to generate
summaries using XAMPP.

• This study only focuses on the area of Barangay San

Rafael in the field of information system for
calamity and emergency response.

• The study covers the entire disaster risk management

in terms of developing a system for immediate
response.

• The researcher`s methodology in finding data

samples would fall to the descriptive type of
garnering results using questionnaires and interviews
to garner data from respondents.
 DELIMITATIONS

• This study is limited for users within Barangay San

Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal, neglecting the ideas from
other areas.
 DELIMITATIONS

• The access to manipulate database without proper

permission or authority is prohibited.

• The study does not indulge any broadcasting

mediums that are not indicated.
