• A systematic piece of work often


involving many people and is planned
carefully with a definite set of objectives
and has a starting and an end period.
• Heterogeneous in nature
• Single entity
• Requires fund
• Has a life cycle 
• Has team spirit or co-ordination
• Involves risk and uncertainty
• Should be flexible

FEASIBILITY STUDY
• It is done after identification and selection of
the project.
• It is done in order  to justify the selection of
the project through various dimensions.
• The feasibility study identifies the following
aspects:
           -Technical soundness of the project.
           - Administrative feasibility of the project
           - Economic and financial viability
           - Consideration of customs and traditions

• Project is a systematic piece of work

• Project life cycle has five stages and
in that identification of project is the
first stage which plays a significant
role in giving direction to an
enterprise.
• All the steps in identification are
inter-related and without
completion of one step it is dificult
to jump on another
