The municipality has consistently been in the top 10 with the highest
underweight malnutrition rate in the province of Cebu. In 2016, there is an
increase in the overall rate among the 3 malnutrition criteria compared to 2015.
All 33 barangays of Dalaguete have its share of underweight, stunting and
wasting for the past two years 2015 and 2016. However, there are barangays
that stand out in terms of the magnitude of underweight, stunting and wasting.
The ranking is based on the different criteria of under-nutrition wherein the
barangays that registered over and above the average municipal rate is
considered higher in magnitude.
