1. Liquid water left in the freezer becomes solid. Is it

2. The ice cube is taken out of the freezer and melts. Is it

3. When you leave cup of cooked rice on the table for a
day. It turns sour. Is it a “Change or No Change”?

Problem: How do materials undergo change.
Materials: balloon, pencil, water, ice cubes
Procedure:
A. Balloon
1. Observe the shape of the balloon.
2. Blow the balloon, and then observe
what happens.
3. Record your answer in the table.
B. Pencil
1. Observe the size of the
pencil.
2. Sharpen it for one minute, and
then observe what happen.
3. Record your answer in the
table.
C. Drop of water
1. Drop 2mL of water into the teaspoon. Observe the
amount of water.
2. boil the water for 2 minutes.

D. Ice cubes
1. Observe the cubes for a minute.
