 ADVANTAGES OF LASIK
1. A high success rate. This surgery is proven to correct vision and
post-surgical enhancements can further improve vision (if
needed).
2. There is very little pain involved with the procedure. The
surgeon will use numbing drops to alleviate any discomfort too.
3. Your vision is corrected almost immediately or by the day after.
4. You do not have to wear awkward bandages and there are no
stitches.
5. Adjustments can be made to correct any vision changes due to
aging and often, at no cost to you.
6. You may be able to eliminate the need for eyeglasses or
contacts completely or reduce your vision correction
prescription dramatically.
 DISADVANTAGES OF LASIK
1. Any changes made to your cornea are permanent;
therefore, errors cannot be reversed. This is why it
is important to use a skilled laser eye surgeon.
2. In very rare cases, a patient may have a permanent
loss of their “best” vision, which means they could
still require eyeglasses post-surgery.
3. Not everyone qualifies for this procedure.
