 Why image enhancement ?

• To improve the visual representation of an image

• Many of the images such as medical images,

satellite image and even ordinary photographs are
suffered from poor contrast and noise
• Improve the quality of the image for human viewing,
removal of blurring and noise, sharpen, or brighten
an image, making it easier to identify key features

 What is image enhancement?

• Collection of technique that seek to improve the

quality of the image or transform in to suitable
form which is more convenient to analysis the
image
• Converts into more suitable form for the given
task

 Point Processing

• The simplest kind of range transformations are
