• Before starting the project, the first and second
meeting was allocated for surveying. The duration
of this project must at least fit the days from May
20 to June 10, for such tasks are done accordingly
by assigning team members.

Benefits:
For the Environmental Awareness
Campaign, its beneficiaries include all the
residents in the 1 Alvear East, Maniboc,
Lingayen, Pangasinan. Its to encourage all
the indigents to indulge themselves in
such activities for recreational purposes
and also for the benefit of the
environment while discourage the
burning of plastics.
Team Proponent:
The project involves the participation
of the NSTP-CWTS students specificially
the “PROJECT CARES” of group 3 (BS in
Hospitality Management). The project
would not be successful without the full
support of the coordinator and barangay
officials of 1 Alvear East, Maniboc,
Lingayen, Pangasinan.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
I. Rationale
In this 21st century, the impact of using
plastics, cans or rubbers to us humans are already
undeniable. It is already considered not as gift or
instrument to make our lives easier but a lethal
thing that causes so many environmental issues
including floods, climate change and pollution
that we are now experiencing could sometimes
result to death compared to the past generations
where we used to have fresh, clean and verdant
surroundings.
That is why our group decided to propose a
clean-up drive project entitled “PROJECT CARES”
with the acronyms of Civic Action on Rebuilding
the Environment for Safety,
which means that this as we hope would be
able to make the environment of the residents
of 1 Alvear East, Maniboc, Lingayen, Pangasinan
(along the road of Doña Asuncion St.) free from
environmental issues. The project also aims for
the barangay to maintain the cleanliness and
like the butterfly, fly to numerous gardens of
opportunity and beauty.
With the help of our partners and the
residents of the community that we would be
able to reach success as long as we unite and
work hard for mother nature.
II. OBJECTIVES
Main Objectives
• Promoting environmental awareness.
• To make the environment free from
environmental issues.
• Inform the residents to know the importance
of cleaning the environment.
• Encourage the people about the proper
disposal of garbage.
• Teach fun and easy way of recycling plastic
materials.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
• To be able to conscience the mind & heart of
the residents of 1 Alvear East, Maniboc,
Lingayen, Pangasinan.
• To lessen the garbage in 1 Alvear East,
Maniboc, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
• To be able to inform the residents that trash
could be a source of income.
III. Expected Outputs/Outcome
The outcome or expected output of the
Cleanup Drive “PROJECT CARES” is for the
residents to introduce the importance of a clean
area. Since the elderly are busy with their works
and whereabouts the parents and guardian, their
children will be the one expected to do a cleanup
drive. It’s to lessen the waste materials which are
being thrown and to be able to set a permanent
schedule for a cleanup drive which during their
free times (e.g weekends and holidays).
IV. Plan of Work
It’s decided that there should be at least
two meetings for this project. The plan of work
goes like this:
1st meeting – Surveying
• Conduct a house to house interview and
know every resident’s outlook and situation.
• Determine the projects that needs to be
implemented by asking potential questions
that would inspire us to put the programs
into practice.
2nd meeting – Preparation
• Putting garbage bag and sacks to the
designated area.
