KITCHEN EQUIPMENT

Talking about kitchen equipment

typically refers to the larger, either
manual or automatic, implements in
your kitchen. These are appliances
that aid in processing, cooking, baking,
and freezing food.
HAND MIXER
Hand mixers are used to beat,
whip, and combine ingredients,
all requiring a smooth
functioning set of blades that
turn easily and consistently
during the mixing process. Hand
mixers that are electrical
typically have several mixing
speeds either in numbered
settings or simply low, medium
and high speeds.
MICROWAVE OVEN
A microwave oven is a very
popular kitchen device that
heats and cooks food by the
use of microwave radiation in
the electromagnetic spectrum
in a very quick time and
maintain the nutrients in food.
Microwave ovens are used for
reheating earlier cooked foods
and cooking a different variety
of foods.
REFRIGERATOR
The fundamental reason
for having a refrigerator is
to keep food cold. Cold
temperatures help food stay
fresh longer. The basic idea
behind refrigeration is to slow
down the activity of bacte- ria
(which all food contains) so
that it takes longer for the
bacteria to spoil the food.
BLENDER
Grind semi-solid
ingredients, such as
fresh fruits and
vegetables, into smooth
purées
FOOD PROCESSOR
A food processor is a
versatile kitchen
appliance that can
quickly and easily chop,
slice, shred, grind, and
puree almost any food.
Burner Gas Range with Oven
A gas stove is
a stove that is fuelled by
combustible gas such as
syngas, natural gas,
propane, butane, liquefied
petroleum gas or other
flammable gas.
PRESSURE COOKER
• Pressure cookers are designed
to make short work of slow
cook dishes. They're
economical both in the
amount of power they use and
are also ideal for tenderizing
cheaper cuts of meat. They
can reduce cooking times by
up to 50% and retain nutrients
well, making them a healthy
cooking method.
GRIDDLE
A griddle is mostly used
outdoors for cooking
traditional barbecue foods,
such as steak, chicken,
sausages, and burgers.
Unlike a skillet, it grills food
properly and leaves a smoky
flavor. Also, it can cook food
at higher temperatures to
improve the taste.
