 Basically started in 1968 For Agartala conspiracy case


 Student started the movement for release of the prisoners
 Blockade of governor's house in 6 December 1968

 On January 4, 1969 establishment of Student Action


Committee
 Announced their 11-point program
 Based on 1966 Six Point program
 on 8 January 1969, Democratic Action Committee (DAC)
 By eight political parties, including Awmi League and NAP
 To reestablish democracy
 Asad’s death in
1969, 20 January  Sergeant Zahurul Haq assassinasion
at the Kurmitola Cantonment jail

 Dr. Mohammad Shamsuzzoha, stabbed to


death with bayonet on February 18

The uprising reached its peak after those incident. 


Agartala case was withdrawn on February 22 due to the uprising.

Consequences and Impact of 1969
Mass Upsurge
The mass uprising of 1969 influenced the election of 1970
and the liberation war of 1971. the achievements made
possible the spark of Bengali nationalism in the people’s
minds and for that all types of people participating in the
mass upsurge. Bengalis tend to learn the importance of
democracy and how to demonstrate against injustice from it.
