INTRODUCTION
 Growth is usually refers to an increase in size
or number. It is largely an anatomic
phenomenon
 Development denotes an increase in degree of
organisation; increase in complexity. It is
physiologic and behavioural
GROWTH
• Growth usually refers to an increase in size and
number (PROFFIT1986).
• Growth is defined as increase in size.(TODD)
• Defined as normal changes in amount of living
substrate.(MOYER1988)
• Defined as any change in morphology which is with
