CELL
Cell Theory: All known living things are made up of cells. All cells come
from preexisting cells by division. The cell is structural and functional unit
of all living things.
Allows some substance to move into and out of the cell but restrict the passage of the other
substances
the lipid part of the membrane is permeable to water and nonpolar lipid such as fatty acid,
fat-soluble, vitamins, steroids, oxygen and carbon dioxide.
CARRIERS (TRANSPORTER) which change shape as they move from one side of the
membrane to the other.
INTEGRAL PROTEIN called RECEPTORS recognize and bind specific molecules that
governs some cellular function for example hormones insulin.
