 The PSIC required a system, which is reliable, dynamic and
which allows progression of status continuously without any
limitations
 PMS-JU-PSIC is an application for storing the incubation’s project
in central database system and monitoring their daily progression.
 The start-ups will give full information about their product for
the administrator of the site. Then the admin will post the
information so any public users can see the technology
product
 Developed using PHP, HTML language and MYSQL

 Features of this project will save data transaction time and

therefore increase the efficiency of the management of system

 The primary goal of a business incubator is to produce
organizations that will leave the incubation program as a
self-supporting organization during the start-up period
when they are most vulnerable.
 The website is a social networking site that records, various
information about each action performed by its users
 One of the most popular monitoring systems using technology is
database management system (DBMS).
 When the web-based application is integrated with a database it
becomes dynamic and flexible form managing.
 Jimma University supports innovators to develop their
technology products and services with several mechanisms.

 One of the ways is through the incubation activity.
OBJECTIVES
General Objective

 The general objective of this project is to design, develop, and implement Projects
Monitoring System for JU Product and Service Incubation Center (PMS-JU-PSIC).

Specific Objectives
 To assess current situation of how project progression are monitored that are
running in incubation center of Jimma University.
 To conceptualize the requirements of the system in terms of business, user, and
implementation requirements.
 To design the features of the system in terms of
 Customizing a DBMS replacing static storage system.
 Designing a user friendly and a safe system to monitor the projects.
 Designing simple way of advertising new products.
 Designing interactive way of controlling projects which are registered in the incubation
center.

 This system monitors the progress of registered projects
in phase wise, which helps the admins to manage the
innovators who are working under the control of the
incubation center and it helps the project owners to be
committed to complete their projects on time.
 Generally, after accomplishing all the requirements
stated under the objective we are sure that the problems
in the existing system would be minimized to large
extent.
 Itwill increase the work efficiency of the company and it is
expected that the project will go a long way in satisfying
user’s requirement. 15
