Learning Objectives
The learners shall be able to explain the steps in recruitment and selection
process.
Recruitment is looking for and acquiring a pool of prospective
candidates with the preferred knowledge, skills and experience to let
an organization select the most proper people to fill job vacancies
against defined position descriptions and specification.
Job Description is the details of the work the jobholder must do.
Job specification –it provides the minimum qualifications
for a particular job such as educational background, experiences, skills, and
personal qualifications.

Purpose of recruitment : to find qualified employees that will fit
into the current organization culture.
Recruitment can be done either internally or externally.
Internal recruitment- is searching for qualified people from
existing employees to fill open positions.
External recruitment – is looking for qualified people
