Investigation on Distributed Production and Post Harvest
Machineries and Constructed Solar Powered Irrigation

Team (NAFIAIT)
The NAFIAIT objectives of the said consultation are the following:
• To obtain and analyze record of funds allocated to the DA
mechanization program for rice and corn, as well as the funds
allocated for the Solar-Powered Irrigation System and RCEF Program;
• To obtain and analyze the inventory of the agricultural machineries
procured and distributed by rice and corn programs through the DA-
RFOs. The inventory shall show the general specifications, costs,
ownership and management, and operational conditions of the
agricultural machineries and solar-powered irrigation systems;
• To obtain and analyze the inventory of beneficiaries of the agricultural
machinery, matching their needs with the machines they received,
determine operational schemes on how the members avail of the
services of these machines, the status and schemes for the operation,
repair and maintenance, and strategies implemented by the
beneficiaries on the sustainability of operation, repair and
maintenance of the distributed machines;
The NAFIAIT called the consultation to address the following objectives:
• To obtain and analyze the inventory of the agricultural machinery
suppliers for the distributed machinery, assess their capacity to
provide after-sales service, and determine the actual after-sales
service provided to their customers;
• To determine and assess the general procedures for the assessment
of the agricultural machinery needs of the target beneficiaries and
matching these with the agricultural machinery to be procured and
distributed;
• To determine and assess the bidding procedures implemented to
ensure that the high quality agricultural machinery were procured
from reliable suppliers; and
• To determine and assess monitoring and evaluation system for the
sustainability of the distributed machinery.
To achieve the above objectives, the NAFIAIT scheduled data
gathering activities in DA-RFOs. The schedule of data
gathering in DA-RFO 1 is on February 17-21, 2020. The
