-Prejudgment or preconceived opinion before becoming
aware of the relevant facts of a case
Types of Prejudice
1. Gender Thinking that all members of a particular gender
are a certain type of person.
(gender stereotyping)

EXAMPLE:

All males are cheaters and womanizers.

2. Ethnic/ Negative opinions, beliefs, or attitudes
are held about people for the simple reason that

Recognizing Biases
Bias
-a prejudice for or against a thing, person or group in a
close-minded way; usually a considered unfair.
Types of Bias
1. Conformity Bias caused by group or peer

Ana is unsure with her answers on her assignment.
When her friends provide answers, Ana agrees with
her friends‟ answers believing that they are smarter
than her.

Women should always do the household chores.
