 Dog

Dogs are domesticated mammals and live

dependently of humans in the range. There are
more breed dogs in the world but the most
popular dogs are :French Bulldog, Husky,
Dachshund, Beagle, German Shepherd, Golden
Retriever,  Poodle, Shih Tzu, Pug Dog, English
Cocker, St. Bernard.
Today, some dogs are used as pets, others are used
to help humans do their work. They are popular
pets because they are usually playful, friendly,
loyal and listen to humans. Dogs eat both meat
and vegetables, often mixed together. Dogs often
have jobs, including as police dogs, messenger
dogs, hunting dogs or rescue dogs. A dog is called
a puppy until it is about one year old. The best
human’s friend is the dog.
 Penguin
Penguins are birds but they can’t
fly or walk fast. They live in Antarctica.
They can swim in the water like fish,
having  plumage  and flippers. Lots of
types of penguins live in colonies on the
icepacks, penguins feed on krill, fish,
squid and other forms of sea. They
spend half of their lives on land and the
other half in the sea. In winter when it’s
very cold, penguins make a circle and
stay back by back strongly to protect
themselves from the wind. The male
penguin hatches the egg two months.
 Cow
Cow is a big, domesticated animal and it is raised
for many reasons including: milk, cheese and other
dairy products, also for meat such as beef and veal
and materials such as leather. In older times they were
used as work animals to pull carts and to plow fields.
In some countries such as India, cows were classed as
sacred animals and were used in religious ceremonies
and treated with much respect. Today we see them
very often chewing the grass in farmers fields as we
walk or drive through the countryside. Cows are
referred to as the ‘fosters mothers to the human race’
because they produce most of the milk that people
drink. The most popular cow is Holstein from
northern Holland.
 Chicken
Chickens are domestic birds
that cannot fly. There are over 150
different breeds of chicken that
come in various colours and sizes.
There are more chickens in the
world than any other bird. Chickens
provide two sources of food
frequently consumed by humans:
their meat, also known as chicken,
and eggs which they lay. Chickens
are grown on the farms and eat
grass and corns.
