Supplementary Parts
Supplementary Parts

• The supplementary parts are placed at the end of the report.

• It includes:
a) Appendix
b) Bibliography
b) Index
Appendix
• They contain important supporting materials related to the report but not included in the
text parts because they were too lengthy or too bulky.

• It is not required to include an Appendix. Include one or more if needed.

• An appendix may contain:


 Maps
 Tables or Charts
 Complex formulas
 Questionnaires
 Raw data etc.

• Any inclusions must be clearly labeled and referred in the body of the report.
Bibliography
• All the list of source materials (books, research articles, web sources
etc.) used for writing the report must be mentioned at the end of the
report.

• A bibliography differs from a works cited page.

• Bibliography includes any works that were referenced to write the


report, not merely the works that were cited in the report.
Index
• A list of words with corresponding page references that point readers
to the locations of various topics within a report.

• It is given in an alphabetical order.

• An index serves a communicative role by throwing a spotlight on the


parts of your report that will be most interesting and useful to the
reader.
