A study on an office workers in their 20’s
-Suppose a group of 300 people volunteer for a study involving office workers in their
twenties. There are 300 participants are randomly distributed into three groups.

First Group: A control group that does

not participate in execising. TRUE EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH DESIGN
• Control Group
Second Group: Asked to indulge in
home workouts for 30-45 muinutes • Independent Variable
everyday for one month. • Random Assignment

Third Group: Has to work out 2 hours

everyday for a month.
A study of students that have/have not gadgets

-A researcher have 50 volunteers for a study on students that have gadgets or not and those 50
students are randomly distributed in two groups.

Group 1: has no gadgets at all, and TRUE EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH

most of them behaves
• Control group
• Experimental group
Group 2: has gadgets, and active in
mobile gaming and social media
The effects of junk foods in obese people
-Interviewing with the participants shows that while some of them are keen
to see the "junk food benefit," others aren't as they follow a strict diet.

We make a questionaire from the

participants on its choices, QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH
Suppose to be 9 out Since we make a questionaire from the participants on
of 10 people its choices, Yes or NO:
answered YES, and -it has a pre-test or a post-test
Suppose to be 1 -dosen’t have a random assignment meaning NOT
VOLUNTARY.
out of 10 people
answered NO
Study of senior high school students have high and low scores of statistics
-We make the students test their knowledge from the subject of statistics whether has a high score
of 11 below and a low score of 10 under.

Since this is a pretest, thus we use

percentage from students:

- it has a pre-test or a post-test
- Does not use random assignment

70% of the students have high scores

20% of the students have low scores

A study on a costumer satisfaction
A researcher can understand that there is satisfaction of a costumer with teir recent

By asking them to rate their
satisfaction, they use a Likert Scale

malnourished people and fail for their weights.

-they asked the malnourished students
