Support your Child in Making
Relevant Subjects Choices
Try to ensure your child takes ownership of the decision when
choosing their subjects. As this has an impact on his/her results.
 Speak to your child by offering guidance and support rather
than dictating or imposing a choice of subjects on him/her.
 Observe their interests and their academic strengths.
 Ask them about their interest in a particular career. e.g. for
medicine, engineering and computer science they need to study
sciences and for business management, arts and social sciences
they should choose subjects from business group.
