Introduction
•An autonomous car is a vehicle capable of sensing its environment and operating
without human involvement.
•Self-driving cars use vast amounts of data from image recognition systems, along
with machine learning and neural networks, to build systems that can drive
autonomously.
•The neural networks identify patterns in the data, which is fed to the machine
learning algorithms.
•That data includes images from cameras on self-driving cars from which the
neural network learns to identify traffic lights, trees, curbs, pedestrians, street
signs and other parts of any given driving environment.
Literature Survey
• Malay Shah, Prof, Rupal Kapdi, In their work they explained about object
detection using deep neural network especially convolution neural networks.
Training a neural network from scratch takes more time and processing power as it is
very difficult to find the dataset of sufficient size and ground truth. deep neural
network is used for image processing, mainly for medical uses like tumors and such
where the data set is too complex to detect regions in comparison to a model road
environment.

• Aditya Kumar Jain ,In this paper , The software and neural network configuration
are clearly described. With the help of Image Processing and Machine Learning, a
successful model was developed that worked as per expectation. Thus the model was
successfully designed, implemented, and tested. The car slightly moves out of the
track which can be a serious issue if it hits nearby objects if we consider a real car.

• Wang et al. proposed a deep neural network-based car-following model that takes
the relative velocities and positions between the two observed vehicles in the last
few time intervals as inputs.
Objectives

The main objectives are

Controlling the acceleration depending on the
situation.
To take right-turn or left-turn based on the
situation.
Demonstrate automated driving in different tracks.
Hardware and Software Specifications:
• Python
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Advantages :
• Prevention of car crashes.
•Traffic efficiency
•Better access and mode of transportation

Conclusion

• This project started with training the models and

collecting parameters to get the best performance on
the tracks.
• then trying to generalize the same performance on
different tracks.
