MIZORAM IN THE FIELD OF SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGY
AS WE KNOW THAT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ARE NOW A MAJOR
PART OF OUR LIVES AS IT PROVIDES A CONTEXT FOR ADDRESSING
SOCIETAL PROBLEMS AND HENCE ADOPTED BY MANY STATES OF
INDIA INCLUDING TRIPURA & MIZORAM. SOME OF THEM ARE :

TRIPURA : Tripura is now planning to develop a science village at

Nimbark village in western part of Tripura called “VIGYAN
GRAM”.
 Amidst greenery , it will have a space theatre-cum-
planetarium , botanical garden , museum and what not . It’s
nodal authority is TSCST .
 This program has been prepared by
former general of NCSM Ingit
Mukherjee with an aim to grow &
stimulate scientific culture.
MIZORAM : Mizoram opened it’s own directorate center in 1986
as a cell with a view to utilize science & technology in Mizoram .

 It’s objectives are as follows :

 To create and develop natural resources’ database for planning

and development.
 To generate and disseminate meteorological data.
 To popularize science and spread of a scientific temper and
attitude among the people of the state.
 It’s main mission or motive is to harness potential of science &
technology for sustainable development.

SO THE HEARSAY OF TRIPURA &

MIZORAM BEING UNDEVELOPED
STATES IS COMPLETELY FALSE. THEY
ARE GROWING AT A NORMAL PACE IN
ALMOST EVERY FIELD

TRIPURA ’S POLITICAL LEADER :

BIR CHANDRA MANIKYA: Having his reign from
1862-1896, Bir Chandra Manikya started urbanization
of Agartala. He also Umakanta Academy which was the
first western school in Tripura in 1890.
TRIPURA’S FREEDOM FIGHTER :
PRAMOD RANJAN BANERJEE: The Armoury
movement got a new young fighter. He was a follower of
Netaji and hence pledged to dedicate his whole life in
the name of freedom struggle .
 MIZORAM’S POLITICAL LEADER:
ZORAMTHANGAS: He was the CM of Mizoram . He was
given the responsibility of vice president in 1979. His
loyalty for the Mizo cause made him acceptable leader
both among the young and the old, men and women in
Mizoram .
MIZORAM’S FREEDOM FIGHTER :
SHOORVIR PASALTHA KHUANGCHERA: He was the
first mizo leader to fight back to Britishers 1890 as the
British invaded the Lushai hills ( Mizoram ) , Shoorvir
died fighting them

Today, e-Commerce is entering the 3rd phase with the focus on how internet
can impact profitability. We call this phase e-business and it includes all
applications and processes enabling a company to service a business
transaction.
MIZORAM: In order to achieve total computer literacy in Mizoram the Government
is encouraging the use of Information Technology in schools, colleges and all
educational Institutions for which special program and special resources shall be
envisaged by the Education Department in collaboration with the IT nodal agency of
the State for creating necessary infrastructure to achieve this goal.
TRIPURA: The handicraft business of Tripura which enjoys a global appeal and how
it can be scaled up using technology. In a very scientific analysis of the e-business model
in the paper, it is found that B2B (Business to Business) model is more suitable for such
initiative in context of Tripura. It is not sufficient to display a product through internet
to the global customer.

RICH CULTURAL HERITAGE OF 19 DIFFERENT TRIBAL
COMMUNITIES. THEY COULD BE ISOLATED INTO TWO
NOTEWORTHY GATHERINGS AS (I) AB-UNIQUE AND (II)
IMMIGRANTS. ALL NATIVE TRIBES HAVE BEEN RELOCATED
TO THIS DOMAIN FROM A SPOT IN THE MIDDLE OF TIBET.
CANE & BAMBOO CRAFT ARE THE MAIN CRAFTS OF
TRIPURA. ETHNIC GROUPS IN TRIPURA MAKE WIDE VARIETY
OF HANDICRAFT PRODUCTS USING BAMBOO & CANE. 
Mizoram: THE CULTURE OF MIZORAM CLEARLY REFLECTS
THE ROOTS OF THE MIZOS. KNOWN AS THE ‘SONGBIRD OF
THE NORTHEAST’, THE INHABITANTS OF MIZORAM ARE
TRADITIONAL & SIMPLE PEOPLE STILL FOLLOWING THE
TECHNOLOGY FREE RULES TODAY. MIZORAM TOO IS
MOVING TOWARDS MODERNIZATION BUT STATE
GOVERNMENT HAS ENSURED THAT EVERY BUCOLIC
HAMLET IN THE STATE, IRRESPECTIVE OF ITS REMOTE
LOCATION IS ENDOWED WITH YMA. THE PEOPLE

त्रिपुरा: जम्पुई हिल अगरतला से 250 किमी दूर जम्पुई की शाश्वत पहाड़ियाँ स्थित हैं। हालाँकि यह शहर से बहुत दूर है, लेकिन यह यात्रा एक
शानदार अनुभव होगा क्योंकि पूरे साल पहाड़ियों को इसके सुखद मौसम के लिए जाना जाता है। जम्पुई पहाड़ी पर संतरों का बड़ा उत्पादन होता है,
जिस कारण इसे “त्रिपुरा के कश्मीर” के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। त्रिपुरा में ऑरेंज एंड टू रिज्म फे स्टिवल हर नवंबर को मनाया जाता है। फलों के
उत्सव का आनंद लेने के लिए भारत और विदेश से पर्यटक आते हैं। इन पहाड़ियों में ऑर्कि ड और चाय बागान भी हैं जो इसे अगरतला का मुख्य पर्यटन
स्थल बनाता है।

मिज़ोरम: फावनगपुई मिज़ोरम राज्य में स्थित नीली पहाड़ी है यहाँ की नीली पहाडियाँ देवताओं का घर मानी जाती है।इस की चोटी आर्कि ड तथा
रोडो डेंड्रॉन के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। यहाँ के शानदार पेड़ों और सभी रंगों के फू लों के साथ यह स्‍थान नीली धुंधली पहाडियों पर परियों के देश जैसा दृश्‍य
बनाता है और यहाँ हर दिन नए दृश्‍य दिखाई देते हैं।फावंगपुई चोटी को मिजोरम के  ब्लू माउंटेन के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, जो लॉन्ग्टलाई जिले में
स्थित है और लुशाई हिल्स की सबसे ऊं ची पर्वत चोटी है, जो मिजोरम में पटकाई रेंज का एक पर्वत श्रृंखला हिस्सा है।
