However many holy words you read, however
many you speak, what good will they do you
if you do not act upon them?

When wishes are few, the heart is happy.
When craving ends, there is peace.

future, concentrate the mind on the present
moment.

Let us live in joy, never falling sick like those who hate
us. Let us live in freedom, without hatred
even among those who hate.

 Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation
leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you
forward and what holds you back, and choose the
path that leads to wisdom.

 Practice and teach this triple truth to all: A generous
heart, kind speech, and a life of service and
compassion are the things which are spiritually great.

There are only two mistakes one can make along
the road to truth; not going all the way,
and not starting.

On life‘s journey faith is nourishment, virtuous deeds
are a shelter, wisdom is the light by day and right
mindfulness is the protection by night. If a man lives a
pure life, nothing can destroy him.

正念是保护晚上。 如果一个人过着纯洁的生活，
没有什么能摧毁他。

When one has the feeling of dislike for evil, when
one feels tranquil, one finds pleasure in listening
to good teachings; when one has these feelings
and appreciates them, one is free of fear.
有恶恶之心，心静之时，乐于听善法；当一个人有这些
感觉并欣赏它们时，一个人就没有恐惧了。

 Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world:
As star at dawn, a bubble in a stream
A flash of lightning in a summer cloud
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream

 Good thoughts will produce good actions and bad
thoughts will produce bad actions. Hatred does not
cease by hatred at any time; hatred ceases by love.

仇恨因爱而止。

Thousands of candles can be lit from a single
candle, and the life of that candle will not be
shortened. Happiness is never decreased
by being shared.

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with
the intent of throwing it at someone else;
you are the one getting burned.

 This existence of ours is as transient as autumn clouds.
To watch the birth and death of beings is like
looking at the movements of a dance.
A lifetime is like a flash of lightning in the sky,

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn‘t learn a lot today, at
least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we
didn‘t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die;
so, let us all be thankful.
让我们站起来感恩，因为如果我们今天没有学到很多，至少我们学到了
一点，如果我们没有学到一点，至少我们没有生病，如果我们生病了，
至少我们没有死；所以，让我们都心存感激。

 More than those who hate you, more than all your
enemies, an undisciplined mind does greater harm.

hatred, there is no snare like folly,
