What is
Mathematics is mathematics?
the science that studies the logic of form, number, and
order. Math is present in everything we do. It is the foundation for
everything in our everyday lives, including mobile devices, computers,
software, ancient and modern architecture, art, money, engineering, and
even sports..
Today, mathematics is employed as a fundamental tool in many sectors
throughout the world, including natural science, engineering, medicine,
and the social sciences. Applied mathematics, the area of mathematics
concerned with the application of mathematical knowledge to other
domains, inspires and employs new mathematical discoveries and, in
some cases, leads to the establishment of whole new sciences.
Mathematicians also participate in pure mathematics, or mathematics for
the sake of mathematics, without regard for practical applications, but
practical applications for what began as pure mathematics are frequently
WHAT MATHEMATICS
IS FOR?
Mathematics is a fundamental part of human thought and logic, and integral to
attempts at understanding the world and ourselves. Mathematics provides an
effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and
mental rigor. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in
understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies,
and even music and art.
Mathematics has a transversal nature. If we reflect on the history of curriculum in
general, then mathematics were two of the seven liberal arts in Greek as well as in
medieval times. - Mathematics is a part of our human cultural heritage, and we
have a responsibility to develop that heritage.
Since mathematics provides foundational knowledge and skills for other school
subjects, such as sciences, art, economy, etc., the issue of how mathematics is
intertwined with other school subjects deserves to be addressed.
WHAT MATHEMATICS IS
ALL ABOUT?
Mathematics is all about understanding the world. Math pervades
everything we do. Everything in our daily life is built on it, including
mobile devices, computers, software, ancient and contemporary
architecture, art, money, engineering, and even sports. Mathematics is
employed in a wide range of industries and courses. It has an
influence on real-world problems as well as answers to such
problems. Math is employed in all aspects of life, from simple tasks
like counting and purchasing to more complicated mathematical
issues like data analysis.

As detailed by mathematician Raymond L. Wilder in his book

"Evolution of Mathematical Concepts," the need for math emerged as
a result of more complicated demands from cultures across the world,
which necessitated more advanced mathematical answers (Dover
Publications, 2013).
WHERE IS
Math can be found everywhere. As we wander
MATHEMATICS?
our eyes in the surroundings, we can see
things that are related to mathematics. It is an
abstraction and indeed connected to our daily
lives.Everything that we do or encounter in
life can be in some way associated with math.
Without mathematics, we would still be
figuring out each and everything in life, which
in turn, would create chaos.
What role does mathematics play in
your world
Mathematics is a body of knowledge and practice derived from the contributions of
thinkers throughout the ages and around the world. It allows us to understand patterns,
quantify relationships, and, most importantly, predict the future. The entire world is
related. Everyday mathematics demonstrates these connections and possibilities.

For Accountants and those working in the accounting field, we use math to interpret facts
and figures. This necessarily involves a basic and intermediate understanding of
mathematical concepts and theories. The accountant must also be familiar with the
formulas used to compute figures. As part of their interpretation, accountants may create
charts or graphs.
