Transport in Austria

All types of modern transport are developed: air, railway, automobile, water.
Railway transport
Austria is one of the
most railway countries in
Europe. The length of
railways is over 6000
km.The Vienna S-Bahn is
intended mainly for
connection with the
nearest suburbs. The
tram network has a high
density. However, in
Vienna, the subway has
recently. The train is in
great demand.
Automobile transport
Local roads are in
excellent
condition,so you can
use a car or ,however
you need to be
careful on mountain
roads. Driving in
Austria is on the
right.
City public transport

Buses and trolleybuses are in great demand, as there are only two cities with metro. You can also rent a
bicycle for personal use, which is very popular among Austrians. Since every third person has a bicycle.
Air transport
There are 55 airports
and two heliports in
Austria. The largest
airports are Vienna,
Linz, Salzburg, Innsburg,
Klagenfurt, Graz and
Altenrhein. Therefore,
we can conclude that
aircraft are also in great
demand.
Water carriage
Austria has 4
ports:Enns,Krems on the
Danube,Linz,Vein. The
length of waterways is
358 km. Ferries and
motor ships are the only
modes of transport that
the Austrians use for the
transport of goods, as
well as for their own
needs.
