any club, association, group, fraternity, or sorority.

ANTI- • Responsibilities of the University, to include (a)
information dissemination to students and parents
HAZING ACT about hazing, and (b) orientation to fraternities,

semester.
• Penalties, to cover those who participated in hazing,
planned the hazing, cooperated with the hazing,
concealment of hazing, and obstructing
investigation.
ANTI- • HAZING: any act that results in physical or
psychological suffering, harm, or injury inflicted on

membership in a fraternity, sorority, or
organization.
ANTI- • HAZING: acts include but are not limited to:

other substance, or any other brutal treatment or
forced physical activity which is likely to or
adversely affect the physical and psychological
health of the recruit, neophyte, applicant, or
member.
ANTI- • HAZING: Includes activities that are intentionally
made or otherwise, by one person alone or acting
HAZING ACT with others, that tends to humiliate or embarrass,
OF 2018 degrade, abuse, or endanger, by requiring a recruit,
neophyte, applicant, or member to do menial, silly,
or foolish tasks.
ANTI- • ORGANIZATION: Includes any club or the AFP,
PNP, PMA, or officer and cadet corps of the
HAZING ACT Citizen’s Military Training and Citizen’s Army
OF 2018 Training.
ANTI- • PENALTIES: Increased the penalties for hazing.

HAZING ACT • Third parties are also punished. The owner or the
lessee of the place where the hazing is conducted
OF 2018 shall be liable as a principal when he has actual
knowledge of the hazing conducted but failed to
take any action to prevent the same or did not
report to authorities.

ANTI-HAZING ACT of 2018
 PRESENCE: of any person, even if such is not a
member of the fraternity, sorority, or organization,
during the hazing is prima facie evidence of
participation therein as principal.
 Presumption is negated when that person prevented
the acts or promptly reported the same to law
enforcement authorities if they can do so without peril
to their person or their family.
