through formal, with innovative teaching techniques, with stronger values integration
of competencies applied, with the collaborative efforts of the school and its
stakeholders.
Our district has designed this Project ISLANDERS anchored with the Division’s
Project E-KULTURA to raise the academic performance, character excellent learners
and the physical plant of the school as well the promotion of tourism and industry of
the community. Thus, full implementation of this project will make the school
effective and favorable place for learning.
The main goal of project is to improve the school’s performance and students’
academic achievement. Its objectives are to empower the school head to provide
leadership (sec. 1.2 of Rule 1 IRR of R. A. 9155); and mobilize the community as well
as the Local Government Unit to invest time, money and effort in making the school a
better haven of learning and a bastion for character building.
The district of Sto. Nińo composed of four (4) Secondary Schools, eleven (11)
Elementary Schools with 3 clustered schools and three (3) Senior High Schools
offerings GA, ABM, HUMSS, Cookery, Food & Beverage Services and Electrical
Installation & Maintenance.
Rationale

At present, the District has a Completion Rate of 68.25%, Cohort

Survival Rate of 62.56% and Failure Rate of 1.25% which are below the
standards. For these, each school head therefore is bound to
strategically move forward despite lapses and challenges, no matter
what, no matter when, no matter where.
So, School Leaders should be capacitated to become strategic
leaders who manifest their knowledge, skills, and values through project
implementation. They will particularly be trained in spearheading
banner project that is responsive, innovative, and identifiable to their
specific schools in the district of Sto. Nińo.
