LIMIT

APPLICATON IN THE REAL WORLD

Basic Calculus Project

Ella Mae B. Bonsol

Eagle – STEM 11
A limit tells us the
value that a
function
approaches as that
function’s inputs
get closer and
closer to some
number. The idea
of a limit is the
basis of all calculus.

Car as X Stop Sign as A

The limit as you

approach A is whatever
position you’re in, so as
you’re
approaching A, the
acceleration of your car
is going to be slow
down because you are
nearing to stop

And once you get to the

stop line and you want
to fully stop, you press
the brake of the car
and your position is
actually 0. So the limit
as you approach A is 0.
