Midterm Speaking Test (20 marks)
Students do this section separately from the written test for a total of 20
marks.
It takes each student approximately 4 minutes to complete the 3 parts
of the speaking test:
• Part 1: greetings (0.5 minute)
• Part 2: answering some personal information questions (1.5
minutes)
• Part 3: answering three questions (2 minutes)
The criteria are fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
All speaking tests are recorded for future reference.

Aptis test:
 The Aptis test score out of 200 is to be converted to EIC 6 final test
ten-band scale as follows:

 The Aptis is used as a benchmark for EIC 6 Program. EIC 6 students
must be at B1 level with an Aptis score from 90 to 200 to satisfy Hoa
Sen University's English language requirements.
