The Social Studies or Araling Panlipunan program under the K12

curriculum or the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum features new
approach which made it somehow different from the usual ways of
teaching it. It has Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs)
and Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) that describe what students should
know and be able to do in civics, economics, geography, history and social
study skills.
