Course objectives
The Đọc Viết 1 (RW1 – Reading and Writing 1) course will help you to identity main
and supporting ideas, preview a text, take notes, and distinguish facts from opinions in
reading texts about sociology, nutritional science, information technology and
marketing, developing your reading, vocabulary and grammar skills.
Course objectives
The RW1 course will also enable you to write process, descriptive, summary, and
personal response paragraphs as well as make an outline for an opinion essay.

Course systems
Our course will use two main systems: ELO LMS and iQonline.
• Ungraded tasks: ‘Vocabulary, Reading and Grammar Practice’ on ELO LMS. They are
tasks from the main textbook. Correct answers will be given after you submit and
finish your attempt.
• Graded tasks: ‘Reading and Vocabulary Quiz’ – ‘Writing Assignments’ – ‘Peer Review’
workshop on ELO LMS. These tasks test your knowledge and skills of the course
learning outcomes.
• Graded tasks on iQonline: These tasks test your knowledge and skills of the course
learning outcomes.
