What is Economics?
Is the study of the ways that individuals and societies
allocate their limited resources to satisfy their unlimited
wants.
SCARCITY
Is the limited availability of a commodity,
which may be in demand in the market
or by the consumers. Also included
an individual’s lack of resources to
buy commodities.

 Studies human behavior.


Sociology

 Studies how individuals make choices in allocating


scarce resources to satisfy their unlimited wants.

 Help students to learn about the relationship of


a business and basic economic theories.

inputs used to produce the

efforts, both physical and
mental, used to produce goods
and services

an entrepreneur, who tries to
earn profit by developing a
new product or finding a
better way to produce an
existing one.
2.NATURAL RESOURCES
Are so- called “gifts of
nature”. They include
land, forests, minerals,
oils reserves, bodies of
water, and even animals.
RENEWABLE RESOURCES
 Is a natural resource which replenish
to replace he portion depleted by usage
and consumption, either through
natural reproduction or other recurring
processes in finite amount of time in a
human time scale.
EXHAUSTIBLE RESOURCES 
 Is a natural resource that
cannot be readily replaced
by natural means at a
quick enough to keep up
with consumption.
Example: coal, petroleum,
metal ores, fossil fuels, natural
gas.
3.CAPITAL GOODS
Include all human
creations used to
produce goods and
services.
