LILY
 The lily is incredible for pollinators, attracting insects
with its large colorful flowers and tasteful nectar.
Certain species of lily are pollinated by wind, while
others are pollinated by bees! Lilies have large petals
that can be white, yellow, orange, red, purple or pink
in color. They can even have freckles
 Lily of the valley was also used to strengthen heartbeat
and to reduce blood volume and blood pressure. Lily of
the valley is also good for the heart because it
minimizes the irritability of the myocardium (muscular
tissue of the heart). Lilies are also used to treat skin
ulcers, inflammation, burns and rashes as well
LOTUS
 It is a beautiful flower which has an appealing
fragrance and colour. The flower is usually white or
light pink in colour with boat-shaped petals. The
leaves of a lotus flower are large and dark green in
colour. The stem of the flower is very thick and it
has a glowing yellow centre.
 Lotus flower protrudes several inches above the
water. This flower is known by its beautiful odor.
Flower opens in the morning and closes at night.
Lotus was a symbol of sun, rebirth and creation in
the ancient Egypt because of this unusual behavior
which marks the beginning and the end of the day
DAHLIA
 Dahlias are thought to originate in Mexico and are
that country's national flower. Dahlias are believed
to have been named by 18th-century Spanish
botanist Abbé Cavanille in honor of Andreas Dahl, a
Swedish scientist and environmentalist.
 Dahlias are tuberous perennials, and most have
simple leaves that are segmented and toothed or
cut. The compound flowers may be white, yellow,
red, or purple in colour
