The Cacique Crown of

Honour(C.C.H)
This is the second highest national award in the Order of service.
It may be awarded to any citizen of Guyana who has rendered
service of an exceptionally high quality beyond the normal call of
duty in the public service, social and voluntary services , industry
or trade unions. It also can be given to people who have achieved
excellence in a certain activity such as the arts, professions,
sciences etc. or be awarded to institutions, organisations,
corporations or a group of people who have made substantial
contributions to the economy.

The Golden Arrow of
Achievement(A.A.)
This is the fourth highest award in the Order of
Service. It may be awarded to any citizen of Guyana
who has performed an outstanding and specific act
of the service or achievement of an exceptional
nature; or has given long and dedicated service of
consistently high standard in any other area of
public service. It may also be to institutions,
organisations or a group of people under the similar
conditions of The cacique crown of Honour.

The medal of service(M.S)
This is the fifth highest award in the Order of Service. It may be awarded for
ten years of dedicated public service, local government service, service to
industry, service to trade unions or other areas of service to the community.
In the special awards category three awards are given for brave conduct.

This is the highest award for bravery. It is awarded for the
highest acts of bravery in circumstances of great danger
involving serious risk of life.

Courage(A.C.)
This award is the second highest act of bravery
The President’s Commendation
for Brave Conduct
This is awarded for lesser acts of bravery which
deserve official recognition by the state. This award is
not recognized with a medal, but by a miniature
Guyana leaf in gold. Recipients also receive a citation
signed by the president.
Military service
 Military Service Star(M.S.S)

This is the highest award and is conferred on officers of the Guyana Defence
force for gallantry in action or other distinguished service beyond the normal
call of duty.

Disciplined Service medal for Long Service and Good Conduct

This award is conferred after the completion of fifteen

defaulter’s record for a period of 12 years.
