Spot Lighting

Spot light in this sort of photography is known to show


loneliness as you can see in this image he is by himself.
Spot lighting is used when you are trying to highlight
a single main prop/model on stage.
Back Lighting

Back lighting is used to create either a


happy mood or a very relaxed mood.
This can be created by positioning a light
behind the person (either artificial or
natural) and then taking the photo.
Side lighting

Side lighting is when a light hits a


subject on one side/in one spot.
One side will be lit but the other side is
in the shadow.
This could be a way to show 2 different
moods are clashing together, a dark
and light side to a person.
Soft/Diffused lighting

Soft lighting is when the


lighting is not filtered at
all (is also called hard
lighting) but diffused is
when the lighting is
covered by a thin layer.
It creates a much more
sombre and relaxed
mood when taking these
photos.
