Hot metal production Index

Hot Metal production index covers the major steel mills of
the world. Primary data sources used are satellite images and
maritime flow of raw materials to have holistic insights. The
data is useful to Commodity Traders, Hedge funds, Mining
companies, Banks, Downstream companies and Steel
producers.
In an era of trade conflicts, countries are diverging to siloes
and protectionist economies and data of key economic
indicators such as steel production is maneuvered

Iron ore inventory Index

Iron ore traditionally had long term contracts with
mining companies and steel producers fixing the
yearlong pricing every year but in the last decade the
contracts became shorter with iron ore now traded across
exchanges with short term contracts. Still the Iron ore
pricing doesn’t have transparency as 80% of Iron mined
is still being controlled by top 4 mining companies.
Tathya aims to bridge these gaps in supply and demand,
helping in bring transparency in Iron Ore pricing.

● AIS SIGNALS

The automatic identification system (AIS) is an

automatic tracking system that uses transceivers on
ships and is used by vessel traffic services (VTS).
When satellites are used to detect AIS signatures,
the term Satellite-AIS (S-AIS) is used. AIS
information supplements marine radar, which
continues to be the primary method of collision
avoidance for water transport. Although technically
and operationally distinct, the ADS-B system is
analogous to AIS and performs a similar function
for aircraft.
