STEPS IN CHARCOAL
PROCESSING
1. Mangrove barks are taken out

2. Wood is put into charcoal
kilm which is 67m and closed
- The wood is dried in a big fire at 81
degrees celcius for 10 days and 10
nights
- This is to reduce moisture
- Water vapour can be seen.
- Bricks are put inside the barrel
- Wood vinegar is used for fertilizers. It
can also help skin diseases
Barks are burned for 10 days and 10
nights.
3. Wood is put in a small fire at 350 degree
celcius for 10 days and 10 nights
- There is no fire inside because there is not enough oxygen to start a fire
4. The wood is cooled down at
30 degree Celcius for 5 days.
