Introduction
There are about 1,800 km (1,100 mi) of roads in Ladakh of
which 800 km (500 mi) are surfaced. The majority of roads in
Ladakh are looked after by the Border Roads Organisation.
 The total length of surface roads in West Bengal was over
92,023 kilometers comprising national and state highways.
The Kolkata metro is the country's first underground railway.

Ladakh
Road Density of Ladakh is nearly 4.6/km^2. 67% of the
roads are under ICBR (India-China Border Roads) roads.
The Leh–Manali Highway, 428 km (266 mi) is the
longest highway in northernmost India. The third road
to Ladakh is the Nimmu–Padam–Darcha road, which is
under construction.

Details about roads in West Bengal:-
Total length of road is 92,023 km. The State of West
Bengal, a key center for trade with South East Asian
countries, had a total length of 2,908 km of
National Highways till May 2014. In 2018, the total
length of NH in West Bengal including in principle
National Highways has reached 3,565 km.
