Communication describe the existence of 3 (three) models
in communication:
1. Linear Communication model (One-way
Communication)
2. Model of interactional communication
3. Transactional communication

Purpose of Communication in Organization
• Disseminate applicable regulations in the organization
• Disseminate the organization's work program to achieve
organizational goals
• Fostering relationships vertically and horizontally in the
organizational hierarchy
• Solve problems and make decisions.

Function of Communication in Organization
• Communication within the organization or institution
will involve four functions:
1. Informative
• The organization can be viewed as an information processing
system (information-processing system).
2. Regulatory
• related to the regulations that apply in an organization
3. Persuasive
• many leaders prefer to persuade their subordinates rather than
give orders.
4. Integrative Function
• Every organization tries to provide a channel that allows
employees to carry out their duties and work well.

1. Formal Communication Channels
• Channel that occurs in the organization formally
and will follow the existing organizational structure
with the principle of division of tasks to achieve the
expected goals.
2. Informal Communication Channels
• Is the opposite of formal communication channels,
namely communication channels that do not follow
the formal structure of the organizational hierarchy
