Masonry Works
Estimating Materials & Labor for Masonry Activities

Prof. Vernie T. Briones, MSCE

 Masonry is part of the building structure that
comprises the exterior and interior partition of the
building which laid in and bounded by a mortar.

General Notes

Base on the floor plan, identify the

exterior and interior partition where
the CHB laying is intended.

Verify all the openings such as

windows, dimensions, doors and
other openings specified in the
plans

Check each dimensions and

elevations for CHB walls, it is note
that stiffener column shall be
provided every 3.0 meters and lintel
beam every 2.5 meters

Minimum dimension of stiffener

column and lintel beam shall be
thickness of CHB x 300 reinforced
with 4-12mmØ with 10mmØ
stirrups spaced 250mm on center
