MODULE 12

Mental Health, Positive Psychology

REFLECTION
This module or lesson I have learned and reflected or
realized that positive psychology is a big part of mental
health. Positive psychology is a relatively young discipline
of psychology that focuses on promoting wellbeing and
the building of a meaningful life replete with meaning,
pleasure, engagement, positive relationships, and
accomplishment rather than on what is clinically wrong.
ACTIVITIES:

• Application
• Reflection

S I T U AT I O N S .

• Part 1. I find it really hard to like and accept myself. I've been living with this problem/issue ever
since when I was 6 years old.

• Part 2. Because of that I'm having a hard time on believing others when they told me they like or
accept me it may in a romantically way or in a friendly way because how can they like me or accept
me when me myself can't even like or accept myself. There are also straight forward people who
says it directly to me that they are having trouble with me or they don't accept me. It hurts like hell
but I can't do anything about it cause they were just stating a fact.

• Part 3. As I grew older I started meeting a lot of people, new different people and that helps me to
finally accept, care, love, be kind to myself, discover and explore myself, free myself and lastly
forgave myself. When I was 16 I was meeting a professional psychiatrist and he helped me even
more.
REFLECTION:

• It is said that because teachers are overloaded with work, is there any possibilities that the
TEACHER will go to experience Mental Health? Why or Why not? Expand your answer.
• -Teachers overloaded with work can also affect their mental health because teachers can
feel and has the right to feel tiredness too. Handling and teaching hundreds of students is very
challenging and it is indeed exhausting. They'll meet and deal different kinds of students. If
students, mothers, fathers, our friends and classmates can feel tiredness so do teachers. Why?
Because they're also human who has the right to feel anything and anything they feel and if it's
reasonable then it's acceptable. They have to take care of their mental health because they can't
teach well if they're having trouble with their mental health or even moving, they can't move
well if their having trouble with their mental health cause everything will feel heavy.
