YEN TU PAGODA
 THE HISTORY:

• - Was founded in the 13th century

• - Is associated with Emperor Tran Nhan
Tong(1258-1308)
• -.Located on the Yen Tu Mountain-Uong Bi-
Quang Ninh.
• - Is a famous pagoda and it is the place of
formation, birth and development of Buddhism
 King Tran Nhan Tong:
• -King Tran Nhan Tong(1258-1308) who was the 3rd
king of the Tran Family.
• -In October 1299, Tran Nhan Tong gave up the
mundane world and went to Yen Tu Mountain practice
as a Buddhist monk. In the Yen Tu Mountain, Tran
Nhan Tong started Thien Phai Truc Lam which is Zen
Buddhism in Viet Nam.

 ~Giai Oan Spring~
• Legends said that when King Tran Nhan Tong
decided to resign from his throne to become a
monk, his wives and concubines tried to
persuade him chaging his mind suiciding into the
spring. Mourning for them, the monk king built a
temple nearby and named the spring "Giai Oan".
 Dong Pagoda
-The biggest pagoda among the pagoda
complex of Yen Tu Mountain, which is
located on the height of 543 meters-
 LAYOUT:
• -Am Pagoda. • -Giai Oan Spring.
• -Quynh Lam Pagoda. • -Hoa Yen Pagoda.
• -An Sinh Temple. • -Mot Mai Pagoda.
• -Bi Thuong Pagoda. • -Bao Sai Pagoda.
• -Cam Thuc Pagoda. • - Dong Pagoda.
• -Lan Pagoda. • …… And more=))
 You should visit Yen Tu because:
• -It’s very beautiful, especially in flycam.
• - The air is fresh and it has good view.
• -It’s a special national-level scenic spot.
• -It’s a must-see place, full of historic.
- It’s the symbol of Uong Bi City- our lovely city.
