About him
Brno Del Zou is a French musician, photographer, sculptor, filmmaker,
software designer, and maker of interactive works. After earning a
doctorate in theoretical mechanics in 1990, working as a professor and
researcher in information and communication at the University of
Poitiers from 1994 to 2006, and founding and overseeing a university
research lab on mediated learning, Brno Del Zou is now devoted solely
to his artistic endeavours. The series I am interested in is called
“Photosculptures”.
 Visual Qualities

The photograph shows a man who has had multiple photos taken of him. The
different photos have been edited to make it look like a bit like a photo album.
The main focus of the image is the eye in the centre. The thing I like about the
image is that it is very unique, strange and very different to other
photographers work. Some composition styles used are filling the frame and
repetition. For the lighting, the picture has been edited to black and white.
The persons facial expression is very still so it is hard to tell his emotions.
Some of the formal elements used are colour and texture. Brno Del Zou has
achieved his message of cultural environment by turning the photo black and
white.
Camera settings
The camera has been focused on the eye in the centre. I think Brno Del
Zou has used a high aperture to capture everything in the frame. I think
Brno Del Zou has also used a high shutter speed to create a still, sharp
image. In my in work, I would like to be as unique as Brno Del Zou.
