THE USE OF THE SIMPLE PAST
-A completed action that has no connection to the
present.
-Repeated actions in the past.
-In narratives, stories, or when talking about
historical events.
For example:

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR AND
IRREGULAR VERBS
The simple past of regular
verbs you have to add -ed or
-d to the basic form of the
verb and in irregular verbs
you don't add.

If the verb ends in a consonant and in -y, we change the -y to -i
and add -ed.
