 What is kidney?

 Kidney is one of a pair organ in the abdomen.

 What is the function of kidney?

 The kidney remove waste and extra fluid from blood(as urine).
 Kidney remove acid that is produced by the cell of your body
and maintain healthy balance of water, salts and minerals.
What are the parts of the kidney?
Renal Artery
         are large blood vessels that carry blood from your heart to your kidneys.
 
Renal Medulla
         is the innermost part of the kidney.
 
Renal papillae
            are the areas where the openings of the collecting ducts enter the kidney and where
urine flows into the ureters.
 
Renal veins
         the main blood vessels that carries blood from the kidney and ureter to the
inferior vena cava.
 
Fat in renal sinus
        is a perivascular fat compartment located around renal arteries.
Renal pelvis
        The area at the center of the kidney.
 
Renal capsule
         thin membranous sheath that covers the outer surface of each
kidney.
 
Renal cortex
        is the outer layer of the kidney.
 
Ureters
        is a tube that carries urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder.
How to take care of your Kidney?

 •Keep fit, be active.


 •Eat a healthy diet.
 •Check and control your blood pressure.
 •Take appropriate fluid intake.
 •Don’t smoke.
 •Don’t take over-the-counter anti-
inflammatory/pain killer pills regularly.

Bladder?
URETER
     is the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder.
 
MUCOSA
      coats and protects the surface of the cells.
 
URETERAL OPENINGS 
        move the urine to the bladder, where it's stored until you urinate.
 
TRIGONE OF BLADDER
        one way valves that allow urine and prevent from backing up into ureters.
 
NECK
        the muscle tighten to hold urine in the bladder, and relax to release it through the urethra.
 
URETHRA
         the tube through which urine leaves the body. It empties from the bladder.
    
How to take care of your Bladder?

  Use the bathroom often and when needed.


 Take enough time to fully empty the bladder when
urinating.
 Urinate after sex.
 Where cotton underwear and loose fitting clothes.
 Limit alcohol and caffeine
 Quit smoking
 Drink enough fluid
