SALMAN AL SAUD
Salman Al Saud Sultan ibn Salman Al Saud was born on
June 27, 1956 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He
is known to be the first Muslim and the
first man from the Royal family to be in
space.
In 1985, June 17th, he flew on the space
shuttle called Discovery as a part of the 7
international crew. While in space, he
carries out many experiments like ionized
gases and behaviour of oil and water in
zero gravity. He landed on June 24, 1985
In 1985, he was commissioned as an
officer in Royal Saudi Air Force and
served as a fighter pilot.
MUSA
MANAROVIC
Musa Manarovic Musa Manarovic was born on March 22,
1951 in Baku, Azerbaijan USSR. He was
the third Muslim to visit space.
He was a colonel in the Soviet Air Force
and graduated from Moscow. He was
selected as a cosmonaut on December 1,
1978. For 1 year he flew as a flight
engineer on Soyuz TM-4. This was the
first time a human lived in space for a
year.

Abdul Ahad Momand (born 1959) is a Afghan-
German and former Afghan He became one of Soyuz
TM-6 crew members and spent nine days aboard the Mir
space station in 1988.He holds many records as an
Afghan Pashto Astronaut language after he made a
telephone call to Afghanistan, making it the fifth
language to be officially spoken in space. He
became the first Afghan citizen and the fourth
Muslim to visit outer space, after Sultan bin Salman
Al Saud, Muhammed Faris, and Musa Manarov.
